Industry Expertise | Lake Contracting Inc. has broad experience constructing spaces for healthcare providers and a strong understanding of the special requirements that come with this industry. Lake has worked on a half dozen projects for integrated healthcare system CHA over the years—including a headache clinic, a medical library, and two jobs at Somerville Hospital.

A Notable Location | The Occupational Health and Orthopaedics Center is located in the same building as Lake’s own offices.

A New Facility | In addition to occupational health services, the center provides physical therapy, sports medicine, and other specialties. While the project seemed rather straightforward—the existing layout was left 75 percent intact—Lake helped transform the space, optimizing it to meet the unique needs of the thousands of patients who visit the center on a weekly basis for treatment. Lake’s work included new partitions and millwork, plus a complete carpet, paint, and patch job. Lake was also responsible for new HVAC and other mechanicals.
