Lake Contracting Expands Its Project Management Team

November 7, 2008

Lake Contracting is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its team: Scott Mitchell has joined Lake as a Project Manager and Julia Driesch as Assistant Project Manager. "We all look forward to Scott and Julia becoming indispensable parts of the Lake family," said President and CEO Dana Lake of the new hires.

Scott Mitchell comes to Lake Contracting with more than 25 years of industry experience, bringing his vast knowledge of all phases of construction, and his experience managing a wide variety of project sizes. Scott's background includes broad experience with project types from small tenant fit-ups to ground up apartment complexes. As Lake's newest Project Manager, Scott will be an integral part of the team, involved in all project facets—from initial estimation to negotiation with the client. His duties will also include the management of the construction, leading to approval of the space for occupancy. "We appreciate, not only the experience and knowledge that Scott is able to bring to our company, but also the ways in which that experience will allow our business to grow," said Dana Lake.

Julia Driesch, a recent graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology with a degree in Facilities Planning and Management, comes to Lake with experience in the firm's specialty—tenant fit-up work. Julia completed her internship at Harvard Law School, where Lake staff had the privilege of working with her and seeing her abilities firsthand. At Harvard, she assisted on a variety of construction projects with exacting requirements, including those following the practices of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. "We are very excited about Julia's past experience and the enthusiasm that she brings with her, and look forward to a long lasting and successful relationship," said Dana Lake.
