Lake Contracting Sponsors Muscle Team Boston 2006

January 17, 2006

This year Lake Contracting is again a top sponsor of the Muscle Team fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Greater Boston. Over 500 people attend this event, helping to raise awareness, support, and over $300,000 for MDA programs and services in the Greater Boston area.

The Muscle Team event, held at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, features a host of marquee name professional athletes from New England sports teams. Previous Muscle Team Players have included sports greats like Tedy Bruschi, Doug Flutie, Richard Seymour, and Adam Vinatieri of the New England Patriots; Trot Nixon, of the Boston Red Sox; Walter McCarty of the Boston Celtics; and Cam Neely of the Boston Bruins. MDA Muscle Team Boston pairs these hometown heroes with an MDA Buddy—a child in the Greater Boston community who is affected by one of 43 neuromuscular diseases.

Community involvement and sponsorship of events such as Muscle Team Boston is a direct reflection of the spirit of teamwork that Lake Contracting values highly in its day-to-day interactions. In fact, CEO and President Dana Lake has made community contribution a cornerstone of the Lake Contracting working philosophy. At Lake, success is defined not only by the company's professional activities, but also by the extent it is able to help others.
